Living Out God’s Heart to Extend His Kingdom: Multiplying Disciple-making Wherever We Are
God’s heart is to extend his kingdom through his followers. Currently this happening in amazing ways in Africa and Asia, and it can happen here. This workshop teaches how to partner with what God is doing in the lives of those around us who don’t yet know him so that they can learn to hear his voice, follow him, and make disciples. We will explore biblical principles in how to effectively reach people who were formerly resistant and participate in a discovery Bible experience together.

Vicki and her husband Jim serve as training coordinators with New Generations (NG). As part of their work, Vicki and Jim travel regularly to West Africa, where they also serve with the Vineyard. The Vineyard work in Côte d’Ivoire began in 2016 when a small team of Ivorian Christians were trained by NG to reach people who were known to be resistant to Christianity. Through ordinary people being equipped to make reproducing disciples, in just five years the Vineyard in Côte d’Ivoire has grown to more than 2,000 followers of Jesus who meet in around 150 discovery Bible groups and who have formed more than 15 churches, most of which are in areas where there had never been a church. Vicki completed her doctorate at Fuller Seminary in 2022, researching a group of everyday followers of Jesus who are seeing miracles and having an incredible impact making disciples among the unreached in Benin.
